I do not want a crowded shelf.

This room is for the horror books that deserve to stand under the Night Vendor light. Adult and young-reader work stay on separate shelves so each reader knows which door they are opening.

The shelf can grow without becoming crowded. A title appears here because it belongs under this light, not because an empty slot needed filling.

Returned books are not always empty.
